"Our  grader and mower monitoring systems have been working great and running  smoothly."    

"It's  all been working really good. I can tell where equipment is and what roads  are getting done, whether it's grading, snow blowing, or plowing. We used it  with our Kubota tractor and snowblower, which was great because we bill  people. I  like the systems we are using for our Grader, Mower, and Sprayer operations;  they work well. When rate payers question if work has been done, I can easily  show it has been. For example, there was a complaint that claimed the grader  hadn't been there in six months, and this was not the case. I find that  having the systems also keep the Operators on their toes. I use the reports  to print a map each month showing all un-serviced roads to make sure  everything is getting done. Overall, I like the system a lot!"    

"We  have a Gate System at our Scale House which allows us to charge per entry and  also ensures that the scale house door is closed properly each time. The  Municipality also uses GPS services on our equipment. I find using the live  group map and other reporting easy enough and refer to it even more in the  Summer months. We often have rate payers call to inquire about their roads  not being graded and this allows me to quickly access whether or not this has  been done. We also really appreciate it as far as our work alone policy and  being able to see where our equipment is. Operators are suppose to check in  three time a day but, additionally, the system allows me to log in at any  time and see that they are moving and are okay."  

"The  ConX Systems have been a great addition to managing our RM's operations! I  like the ability to instantly see where graders and other equipment are. This  has been especially great for mowing, to keep track of what has been done and  plan for where to go next. I accessed the system a lot for our mowing  operations this past season. We receive automatic monthly reports for both  our Graders and Mowers, and I love not having to generate them myself. I  forward these reports to Council each month, which keeps them in the know of  what has been done. Our Reeve likes being able to log into his account and  see where equipment is at, as well as keep track of what is going on without  making a bunch of phone calls. This allows him to answer phone calls/complaints  without a middle man. We just finished marking our culverts and other assets  with the X-it device; that was an absolute breeze. I am looking forward to  utilizing the digital map that it provides for Asset Management purposes.  Additionally, I hope to play with the Road-Segment-Analytics feature more and  plan to use this to put a value to some of our roads for grant purposes. I  will likely book a refresher training session, as I believe this feature can  provide a lot of benefit. The included Snow Maps feature is currently being  used internally, but we may decide to make it public down the road. I have  nothing but good things to say about the ConX Systems and the service we have  been provided!"    

"We  did not have any tracking systems on our Mowers previous to this. It is nice  because I can check in on an operator without being in his way. It is not  used to follow them around, but more to see if they are having issues. I also  like that I can see run-time hours on the tractors to see if any maintenance  is due. The Mower Systems are great for the operators who now have less  stress, knowing they don't have to pull out until they hear a beep  in the cab. In a low spot, they wouldn't otherwise know where a  culvert is or if there even is one and this can be very stressful; this takes  that equation right out of it. The staff at ConX were also helpful in making  some necessary adjustments to our system settings, and we were very grateful  for this."

If someone is idling too long, I have the systems set to email me  beyond the set threshold so we can phone and check on staff/go to them if  necessary. It is also helpful for when ratepayers come in saying a road  hasn't been graded in such and such time; I can look and either agree or  disagree with them accordingly. We also use the system to assist with billing  purposes, and can do this without a bunch of paperwork and/or follow-ups. We  clear driveways in the area and the system allows us to make sure the right  landowner is being billed and that they are being billed the proper  amount."    

"Not  a single complaint. The Water Fill Systems are going very, very well. We have  Systems on both our Mowers as well and the hazard detection has absolutely  saved our ass. The culvert marking device, I would definitely say that is one  of our best investments. We train different operators yearly on our mowers,  the grass gets high and new staff doesn't know where the washouts or culverts  are. The alert they get when they approach a marked culvert has eliminated  our damage costs and a possible role over,   Again, not a single complaint!"

I like the  mapping on it. If a person ever got in a scenario and got in an accident  because a road hadn't been graded, I can look back and say it was graded  three days ago."

We are always looking at  ways to improve our operations and when we went to our previous provider with  some new and unique problems, we wanted them to solve, we were met with  little response. In fact, we could barely get a hold of a human to talk to,  period. We knew about ConX Wireless, but it was not until some of our  neighboring RM's introduced us to the system that we realized how powerful  the system actually is. "We  looked at the factory wireless GPS option for our graders. While it does have  its benefits, the information given does not provide daily operation info,  nor does it assist us with planning of road maintenance. The ConX Wireless  system provides us with tracking capabilities which will allow us to better  ascertain our costs on various roads and projects. It has also been extremely  beneficial in tracking municipal equipment for private projects for billing  purposes. "Our  old paper methods of recording our road maintenance program was, at times,  inaccurate and cumbersome to maintain. We knew there had to be a better  option out there. While at the SARM convention, we found ConX Wireless. We  explained our present operation and challenges to the guys. They recommended  their products and services that not only solved our problems but helped  improve our operations too. We installed ConX Wireless devices in all our  graders, mowers, and gravel trucks. These are the key pieces of our road  maintenance program and we need accurate and timely information regarding the  work they complete. ConX Wireless gives us that ability. We now have access  to an entire digital database showing us exactly what work has been completed  in the RM. I really like that I can access the system from anywhere using my  cellphone or laptop. "We  were using another provider but switched to ConX Wireless because they are a  local company that was cost competitive. If it makes sense for us, we always  want to support the local economy. The system is easy to use and was exactly  what we were looking for in a GPS system. The Road Maintenance Map (map of  all work completed) is very important to us. If any incidents like a car  accident happen, we can look back and see when that road was last maintained  to ensure that was not a factor in the incident. We would recommend ConX  Wireless. They are very easy to deal with, communication has been excellent,  the installation process was smooth, and the system is very user  friendly."    

"The  info T2C gives provides solid evidence which resolves disputes very quickly,  allowing us to maintain good relationships with the rate payers. We were also  having employee issues with daily work reporting. T2C takes the human element  out of that reporting. The graders and mowers are important to monitor to see  work completed. Our biggest concern with the gravel trucks is that they are  not speeding on grid roads in the RM. Our expectations have been fully  satisfied as we have used the system to quickly settle rate payer disputes of  RM vehicles speeding on grid roads. The ability to show when roads have been  cleared of snow this winter allows us to easily communicate which roads are  clear and safe to drive on. I would certainly recommend T2C. the product and  the service has been excellent."    

"In  our RM's experience, GPS fleet management has paid for itself many times  over. Our operators no longer have to complete paper work-maps, increasing  employee productivity by 15-30 mins every day per operator. Some quick math  shows that this has saved our RM roughly $1300 a year per employee. Where GPS  has really been invaluable to us was when one of our operators stopped  responding due to health issues in the field. The operator was on a grid road  and verbal directions would be very difficult. I was able to direct emergency  services using our GPS system, and thankfully, our operator was taken care of  in time before any major damage was done. We chose to switch providers to go  to ConX Wireless because they offer a host of features dedicated to rural  municipalities for a far lower price then our previous provider. So, the  value of the ConX Wireless system is very tough to beat."
